Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs

HERITAGE FOOD FED RIGHT

HERITAGE FOOD FED RIGHT

HERITAGE FOOD FED RIGHT

Adam & Eve are enjoying some warm cooked bread and apples that were added to their daily grain ration. During the growing season we rotate our pigs into paddocks planted with an organic mix of grasses and grains specifically for pig nutrition, to supplement their grain rations and to promote better health for the pigs. Also providing a superior quality and nutrient packed pork.

HERITAGE FOOD FED RIGHT

HERITAGE FOOD FED RIGHT

The industrial production of pigs has demanded more and more out of these animals than is morally right, they are cross bred to get bigger faster and be able to survive in overcrowded confined spaces. Thus also introducing a buffet of medications to keep the pigs lower stressed and alive from diseases that they shouldn’t be dealing with. Our pigs have heritage genes, meaning they are extremely hardy to natural conditions and do not require medication. To insure the safety of our animals and our soil the only medication they receive is de-wormer.

Meet our breeders

Registered Gloucestershire Old Spot Boar

Adam

Adam

Adam

Adam was the first boar to hit our farm and boy are we glad he did! Adam is a not far off from being a puppy dog. He is fun, loving, and he loves mealtime, belly rubs, laying in they hay in the winter time and laying in the mud in the summer. We are grateful for him on the farm and are  looking forward to working with him over the next years to come.

Eve

Adam

Adam

Oh Eve, this girl is spunky her and Adam showed up on the scene at the same time and immediately became best buds. She loves to run and play. Although early on she was timid and jumpy she has opened up and decided that behind the ear scratches are worth coming to you for. Eve will be set to have her first litter mid-year 2025 and we have no doubt she is going to do great!
